Custom East Boca Residence

The owners wanted a coastal feel and a clean look for their new home. We developed that style using smooth stucco throughout, raised seam metal roofs, smooth natural stone, small cantilevered balconies with brackets, as well as large, open covered terraces, and a unique fenestration style. The challenge on this point water lot was to create two view rooms: one facing west over the Intracoastal Waterway, and another view, 1-mile long, along the north stretch of the canal. These views are highlighted by utilizing a “corner-less” sliding glass door system at the Family Room. When the doors are slid open and hidden in the wall pockets, there will be a clear view without any corner structure. The sliders will be hidden out of view in the pocket wall system. Some other key features:
◾2-stories with a 3rd level terrace deck
◾12,500 S.F. under air
◾13 total bedrooms
◾detached 1-story cabana with bedroom suite
◾Pottery Room
◾Theater Room
◾Library
◾2 pools
Construction

The slabs and grade beams are supported by auger-cast piles. In the images you can see the detached guest house to accommodate visitors. Its covered Loggia will provide shaded seating from the sun decks. We utilized a 6″-8″ thick poured-on-site concrete floor system and beams. No wood or metal materials will used except on the upper roof trusses. This is the best solution for quiet floors and less obstruction from cumbersome floor trusses that get in the way of lighting and HVAC system components.
